Porti Tourism Signs Special Consideration for the Victorian High Street

The Victorian High Street is historically significance in local culture and is a familiar and easily recognised landmark. As a popular tourist attraction it is an important element in the overall charm of Portishead.

The term Victorian High Street includes many churches, shops, pubs, restaurants and village halls in the central part of Portishead. Most of these are prominent in the history of the local area and are individually identifiable as landmarks. While all of them are of interest to visitors, they are too numerous to sign individually, and therefore for purposes of signage are grouped together under this one heading, Victorian High Street.
